We will pick you up from your accommodation to begin your 4 day Marrakech Desert Tour to sahara with an exciting journey over the High Atlas Mountains from Marrakech to Dades Gorges. Ascend the Tizi N’Tichka Pass (2,260 m) to observe magnificent settlements dangling on the mountain slopes.
Then we travel to Ouarzazate, passing through the unforgiving stone desert, to see the Kasbah of Taourirt and the famous film studios. After lunch, take a drive through the Dades Valley on the famed 1000 Kasbahs Road, passing via the intriguing hamlet of Skoura and on to Kelaat Magouna, known for its flowers. Enjoy supper and settle in for the night when you arrive to Boumalne Dades.
Early morning departure for the ever-changing panorama of the Merzouga dunes. Drive through palm groves to the Todra Gorges after crossing the Tinghir Oasis. Limestone cliffs appear to form a rift between the beautiful mountains of the Todra Massif and the delta of a river in this stunning location.
The four-day Marrakech desert tour will next proceed to the Merzouga desert, where you will have a camel ride across the spectacular sand dunes. A relaxing moment to watch the sunset over the huge, golden dunes, which change shape like moving sculptures in the pattern of draperies.
Spend the night in Berber tents beneath the stars after a delicious supper and a music celebration. This will undoubtedly be the best night of your four-day Marrakech desert tour to Merzouga, if not your whole Moroccan vacation.
Get up early to catch the magnificent sunrise. After freshening up, return to the departure point and enjoy breakfast in the tent. Our four-day Marrakech desert adventure continues to Merzouga. Set out towards the Palm Grove of Tafilalet and the village of Rissani, the birthplace of the Alaouite Dynasty.
Explore the historic capital of the Alaouite Sultans before continuing on to Alnif and the Jbel Saghro Anti-Atlas mountain. As you travel past the significant Berber communities of Tazzarine and N’kob, you will enter the Draa Valley, which is known for its rows of towering palms.
Drive to Ouarzazate in the late afternoon through the Anti-Atlas Mountain and Tizi N’Tniffift. At Ouarzazate, you will spend the night in a Riad or Kasbah.
Departing Ouarzazate in the morning, we will visit Ait Ben Haddou, a certified UNESCO World Heritage Site and Morocco’s most spectacular Kasbah and well-preserved stronghold.
Crossing Morocco’s highest road pass, Tizi N’Tichka (2260m), with breathtaking views of valleys, mountains, and many more Berber towns nearby. Arrive in the evening.
