Overview
The classic Sahara journey, shared with a small group of travelers on a fixed date. In four days you cross the High Atlas, walk through Aït Ben Haddou, follow the Dades and Todra gorges and ride a camel into the Erg Chebbi dunes for a night in a desert camp.

Day1
Marrakech to the Dades Valley via Aït Ben Haddou
Morning pickup from your hotel or riad in Marrakech. Cross the High Atlas by the Tizi n'Tichka pass, with stops at viewpoints and Berber villages. Visit the fortified village of Aït Ben Haddou, then continue through Ouarzazate and the Valley of Roses to the Dades Valley.

Day2
Dades and Todra gorges to the Merzouga dunes
Drive through the Dades Gorges and walk in the Todra Gorge. Continue past the palm groves of Tinghir to Merzouga. In the late afternoon, ride a camel into the Erg Chebbi dunes to watch the sunset, then reach the camp for dinner, music around the fire and a night under the stars.

Day3
Sahara sunrise and the Draa Valley
Wake up early for sunrise over the dunes, then ride back to Merzouga for breakfast. Drive west through Alnif and N'Kob, a village of earthen kasbahs, and along the palm groves of the Draa Valley to Ouarzazate.

Day4
Back to Marrakech
Cross the High Atlas once more by the Tizi n'Tichka pass, with a stop at an argan cooperative. Arrive in Marrakech in the afternoon and drop-off at your hotel or riad.

Travelling in a group
You share the vehicle, the camp and the meals with other travelers who booked the same date. Solo travelers are welcome – ask us about room sharing.

Desert camp night
Your main luggage stays in the vehicle. Bring a small bag for the camp: toothbrush, warm layer, power bank.

What to bring
Comfortable shoes, a hat, sunglasses, sunscreen, a scarf against sun and sand, and a warm layer for the evenings.

Some days include long drives with frequent stops. The Atlas road is winding: tell us if you get car sick.

Bring cash in dirhams for lunches, drinks and tips. There are ATMs in the main towns along the way.

Is the desert camp comfortable?
You sleep in tents with real beds and blankets, with access to toilets and showers.
Where does the tour start?
We pick you up at your hotel or riad in Marrakech in the morning of day 1 and drop you there on day 4.
