Itinerary

This is a sample itinerary. Every day can be adjusted to your pace and interests.

1. Day1

   Arrival in Marrakech

   Pickup at Marrakech airport and transfer to your riad in the medina. In the evening, meet your group and step into Jemaa el-Fna square, with its musicians, storytellers and food stalls.

2. Day2

   Marrakech sightseeing with a local guide

   A guided morning in the medina: the Koutoubia, the Bahia Palace, the Saadian Tombs and the souks of the craftsmen. Free afternoon to explore the Majorelle Garden, a hammam or the rooftop cafés.

3. Day3

   Day trip to the Atlas Mountains

   Leave the city for the High Atlas. Walk through terraced valleys and Berber villages, share mint tea with a local family and enjoy the mountain air before returning to Marrakech in the late afternoon.

4. Day4

   Hot air balloon at sunrise and the Agafay desert

   Early pickup for a hot air balloon flight over the plains and villages at sunrise, with the Atlas on the horizon. Rest in the riad, then head to the stone desert of Agafay in the afternoon for a camel ride, the sunset and dinner under the stars before returning to Marrakech.

5. Day5

   Essaouira day trip and end of the tour

   Drive through the argan country to Essaouira. Walk on the ramparts, through the blue-and-white medina and the fishing port, with time for a seafood lunch. Return to Marrakech in the evening, where the tour ends.

  A traditional house around a courtyard, in or near the medina – the same riad for the whole stay.

Good to Know

• Travelling in a group

  You share the visits and day trips with other travelers who booked the same date. Solo travelers are welcome – ask us about room sharing.

• Balloon flight

  Flights depend on the weather. If the balloon cannot fly, we move it to another morning when possible.

• What to bring

  Comfortable shoes for the medina and the mountains, a warm layer for the balloon and the desert evening, sunscreen and a hat.

• Money

  Bring cash in dirhams for lunches, the souks and tips. ATMs are easy to find in Marrakech and Essaouira.
