How to Plan the Ideal Active Morocco Itinerary

Cycling in the Mountains
Almost anywhere in Morocco is a viable location for this activity, ranging from quick trips requiring little to no effort (such as routes across the magnificent Marrakech Plain) to trips that require some moderate effort in the High Atlas foothills (such as in the forested areas around Amizmiz) to difficult, multi-day trails in the higher valleys of the High Atlas.
Camel Trekking in the Sahara Desert
A camel trek gives you the opportunity to enjoy the desert in greater peace. If you really want to immerse yourself in the desert adventures and traditional way of life, a camel trek can be taken over a day or two (or more). It can also be utilized as a means of climbing a high sand dune for a sunset or dawn viewing.
Rock Climbing in Todra Gorge
The Todra Gorge, one of Morocco’s top climbing locations, features high cliffs with hundreds of sport and multi-pitch climbing routes on strong, reddish limestone. There are numerous, excellent climbing routes available in a range of challenges. The Todra is situated in southern Morocco, six hours’ drive east of Marrakech.
