Overview
Everything is organised from the moment you land: we meet you at Marrakech airport, show you the medina with a local guide, then take you across the High Atlas to the gorges and the golden dunes of Erg Chebbi, where you spend two nights in a desert camp.
Back in Marrakech you have a last evening to enjoy the city before we take you to the airport. Travelling with a small group keeps the price friendly and the atmosphere warm.

Day1
Arrival in Marrakech
Pickup at Marrakech airport and transfer to your riad. In the evening, meet your group and discover Jemaa el-Fna square as the food stalls and musicians come to life.

Day2
Marrakech sightseeing with a local guide
A guided visit of the medina: the Koutoubia, the Bahia Palace, the Saadian Tombs and the souks. Free afternoon for the Majorelle Garden, a hammam or shopping.

Day3
Over the High Atlas to the Dades Valley
Cross the High Atlas by the Tizi n'Tichka pass, visit the fortified village of Aït Ben Haddou and continue through Ouarzazate and the Valley of Roses to the Dades Valley.

Day4
Todra Gorge to the Merzouga dunes
Walk in the Todra Gorge, then drive past the palm groves of Tinghir to Merzouga. Ride a camel into the Erg Chebbi dunes at sunset and reach your camp for dinner and music around the fire.

Through the Draa Valley to Ouarzazate
Leave the dunes and drive west through Alnif and N'Kob, a village of earthen kasbahs, along the palm groves of the Draa Valley to Ouarzazate.

Back to Marrakech
Cross the Atlas once more, with a stop at an argan cooperative. Arrive in Marrakech in the afternoon and enjoy a last evening in the city.

Breakfast in the riad and transfer to Marrakech airport for your flight home.

Travelling in a group
You share the vehicle, the camp and the meals with other travelers who booked the same date. Solo travelers are welcome – ask us about room sharing.

Desert camp nights
Your main luggage stays in the vehicle. Bring a small bag for the camp: toothbrush, warm layer, power bank.

What to bring
Comfortable shoes, a hat, sunglasses, sunscreen, a scarf against sun and sand, and a warm layer for the evenings.

On the road
The desert days include long drives with frequent stops. The Atlas road is winding: tell us if you get car sick.

Bring cash in dirhams for lunches, drinks and tips. There are ATMs in the main towns along the way.

Are airport transfers included?
Yes. We pick you up at Marrakech airport on day 1 and take you back on day 8.
