Best thing to do & to see During the tour
Discover Rose Valley and the Valley of a Thousand Kasbahs.
Make your journey through two of the country’s most cultural places, Valley of a Thousand Kasbahs and Rose Valley, when exploring the diverse communities of the Moroccan Desert. They can easily be combined with trips to Boumalne Dades or Ouarzazate, or with travel between the Sahara and Marrakech.
ATV/Quad Sand Dune Adventure in Merzouga
A thrilling ATV/Quad excursion allows you to explore the dunes’ distinctive grandeur. Zoom over Merzouga’s desert, feeling the Erg Chebbi dunes quake beneath your feet. As you descend into valleys and scale hills, you’ll see a combination of brilliant orange and utterly silent surroundings. Enjoy a traditional cup of tea with a group of nomads who live in the desert sand before returning. As you relax in the shade of the palm trees, listen to their stories.
Overnight in a Luxury Desert Camp
A night in the desert is a traditional Moroccan cultural experience, but staying in a luxury camp may make the trip much more memorable! The camp’s owners are Berber nomads who have lived in the Sahara’s sand dunes and arid terrain. They chose to pursue their goals and build a luxury camp that focuses on environmentally sustainable operations in order to preserve the desert and the experience for future generations.
Visit the Market Towns of Rissani
Rissani’s market village is entered through an attractive gate. Spend some time viewing the famed donkey «parking lot» and roaming about the town’s popular market, which is known for its livestock auction. Maison Tuareg is a traditional arts and crafts business selling carpets, jewelry, leather goods, and other items.
Explore Ziz Valley & Atlas Mountains
The Ziz River leaves its rocky valleys behind at Errachidia and continues south along the Ziz Valley for another 100 kilometers (62 miles) to the Moroccan pre-Saharan region (hammada). Along the route, the river nourishes a series of oases, providing life to what would otherwise be dust and stone.
