Best Time for Each Experience
Morocco can be visited all year, but some experiences are better in certain seasons. Use this guide to plan.

Summer days in the desert are very hot, so we plan activities for early morning and evening. Winter nights in the Sahara and the Atlas are cold, and the high peaks can have snow: bring warm layers.

Practical Tips for Your Experiences
-
What to wear
Light, comfortable clothes that cover shoulders and knees in villages and medinas, and good walking shoes. A scarf is useful against sun and sand.
-
Sun and water
Bring a hat, sunglasses and sunscreen, and drink plenty of bottled water, even in the mountains.
-
Desert nights
Nights in the Sahara can be cold, especially from November to March. Pack a warm layer for the evening and early morning.
-
Hammam
Bring a swimsuit or wear the disposable underwear provided. Spa hammams are mixed or private; public hammams are separate for men and women.
-
Photography
Always ask before photographing people. Most locals are happy to say yes when asked with a smile.
-
Food and dietary needs
Tell us about vegetarian, vegan, gluten-free or other needs when you book, and we will let our hosts and cooks know.

Experiences FAQ
Quick answers about booking and enjoying our experiences in Morocco.
Morocco Travel FAQCan I book a single experience without a full tour?
Yes. You can book one experience, such as a balloon flight, a cooking class or a night in the desert, or combine several into a trip.
Can you combine several experiences into one trip?
Yes. Tell us which experiences you like and we will build them into one itinerary with transport, guides and places to stay.
Are your experiences private or shared?
Both are possible. Many experiences can be private for your group, and some are also available in small shared groups.
Is pickup from my hotel or riad included?
For most experiences around Marrakech, pickup from your hotel or riad can be arranged. Your proposal shows exactly what is included.
Are the experiences suitable for children?
Many are, such as camel rides, desert camps, cooking classes and easy walks. Some activities, like quad biking or balloon flights, can have minimum ages.
What should I wear for a camel trek or desert night?
Comfortable trousers, closed shoes or sandals, a scarf against the sun and sand, and a warm layer for the evening.
What happens if the weather is bad?
Outdoor activities such as balloon flights and treks depend on the weather. If an activity is cancelled for safety, we offer another date or another solution, as explained before you book.
